Honestly, my main hope for this class is to learn more about technology and how it works. Technology has never been my strong suit, but in today's day and age that's basically my kryptonite. It has been difficult trying to keep up with the ever-changing advancements that technology is achieving, but at least I'm getting a hold of it now! I would hate to be that one teacher who constantly needs a helper in class to do anything technology-related for them! I'm going to apply the skills that I learn in this course to make myself a better teacher and employee for future employers.

My only prior experience using technology, especially in an educational setting is making Word documents, PowerPoints, and sending emails. Canvas counts as well, I suppose, although in high school it was only really used as a mode of submitting assignments. I am getting new experience with online textbooks this year, though! Besides that I've never really used technology beyond a quick Google search for any questions or a YouTube tutorial if I really need it.

I have several hobbies that interact with my personal learning network, like baking, crocheting, playing Minecraft, and singing. My personal learning network is mostly connected either online or through my friends, and the two often overlap. My friends will send in videos of cute crochet patterns that they think I may enjoy doing, or videos of teachers talking about classroom experiences that they've had, which they know I'll enjoy. I will also regularly go to Instagram or TicTok to watch videos on my own to gain new ideas and techniques to try!
